December Monthly Message
It's that crazy busy time of year, but we hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas full of joy and Jesus! Here are our announcements for this month:
Holiday Schedule
- This Sunday, December 14, will be our last class meeting in December. There will be no small groups on December 21 or 28 and only one worship service at 10:00 am.
- Wednesday night student service will be combined middle and high school this week. Next Wednesday we will have our Student Ministry Christmas party in the Gatheria from 6:30-8:30 pm.
- Candlelight Christmas Eve services will be held at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 24. There will not be a separate student service that evening.
- The church is hosting a New Year's Eve celebration with fireworks on from 6:00-9:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31.
- We will resume our regular schedule on Sunday, January 4. The girls want to have a show-and-tell of their favorite Christmas gifts that day. They are welcome to bring in a small item, but for larger items, new pets, etc., you can text a photo to Melissa at 941-545-8817 and we can show it on the projector.
Winter Camp 2026
- Winter Camp is coming up the weekend of January 16-18 at Word of Life in Hudson.
- Register online here. The price will increase after the first of the year, so now is the best time to get registered!
Christmas Caroling
- We had a wonderful time singing Christmas carols to the residents at the nursing home on Sunday! Another class joined us and we handed out candy canes and Christmas cards that the girls had decorated last week. The residents were so appreciative - some even cried with happiness and followed us down the halls in their wheelchairs. It was a great opportunity for the girls to see how easy it can be to bless someone with the love of Jesus!
