June Monthly Message

 


Now that the school year is over, our time together as a 6th grade class is also coming to a close. Here is our last round of announcements:

Summer Schedule
  • Our last class meeting will be Sunday, June 28. 
  • During the month of July, there will only be one Sunday worship service at 10:00 am and small groups will not meet. Students will meet as a combined Bible Fellowship group at 8:45 or 11:30 am.
  • Wednesday evenings will follow this schedule:
    • June 10 - no service due to VBS
    • June 17 - regular service
    • June 24 - regular service
    • July 1 - no service due to Independence Day celebration (see below)
    • July 8 - regular service
    • July 15 - pre-camp service
    • July 22 - no student service due to camp
    • July 29 - post-camp service
  • August 9 is Promotion Sunday, when students will move up to the next grade level class.
Dave & Busters

  • There will be a middle school hangout at Dave & Busters on Wednesday, June 17. Transportation will be provided in church vans; meet us at the church at 12:15 pm (students will need to eat lunch first). We will return around 6:00 pm, in time for Wednesday evening service.
  • The cost is $35 and includes unlimited gameplay, dinner, and transportation.
  • Sign up here while space is still available.
Independence Day Celebration
  • On Friday, July 3, we will celebrate America's 250th birthday with a special service in the Worship Center starting at 6:00 pm.
  • After the service, there will be outdoor games and bounce houses on the lawn behind the Gatheria. Boxed dinners will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own.
  • Fireworks will begin at 9:00 pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to make yourself comfortable on the lawn.

Breakfast Party and Snacks
  • We will have an end-of-year breakfast party during our regular class time on Sunday, June 21. We would like for each of the girls to bring a breakfast item to share. The link to the signup can be found here.
  • We have so appreciated your help this year in providing the girls with a snack each week. If you would like to take one last turn this month, you can choose a date here. Thank you!!
