AUGUST ANNOUNCEMENTS
Hi parents! We are so happy to have your daughter in our class this year. To keep you informed, each month we will send out a summary of our class announcements. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions, feedback, or prayer requests - our contact info can be found at the bottom of this message.
Sunday Morning Snacks
- We like to start each class with a small snack during our icebreaker time. Because our group is so large (~28 girls), we will be covered for the entire semester if each girl can takes one turn. You can sign up for a date here.
- Due to allergies, we try to avoid foods containing nuts, soy, red/blue dyes. shellfish, and papaya. If you are unable to do so, let us know and we can provide an allergen-free alternative for those affected.
Pack the Prayer Service Tomorrow
- Students are encouraged to join us for a church-wide prayer service tomorrow (Sunday, August 23) from 6:00-7:00 pm in Hall 1.
- After the prayer service, there will be a student hangout time featuring 💥EXTREME GAGABALL💥 and nachos.
No Class on August 30
- In honor of our Worship Pastor Ron Upton's retirement, the church will gather for one service at 10:00 am on Sunday, August 30.
- Small groups will not meet that day.
Sunday Morning Lessons
- For the first 8 weeks of the fall semester, we are doing a study on missions called God's Heart for the Nations. A free digital version of the book is available here if you would like to check it out.
- It is important for the girls to bring their Bibles to class each week. To avoid distractions, we ask that they use a paper Bible rather than a phone. If your daughter does not have a Bible, please let us know and we will be happy to get one for her.
- There will be a reward anytime the entire class comes prepared with their Bibles!
Pool Party
- To help the girls get better acquainted, we are planning a pool party for our first social event of the year. If anyone would like to host and can accommodate roughly 25 girls, please let us know!
- We will send out more details after we have finalized the date and location.
